Position Summary: This position supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora/Centennial Medical Plaza of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Under the supervision of the Plant Operations Director is responsible for providing administrative support to the director and other members of the team. Orders supplies and maintains appropriate inventory levels. Assists with data entry. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

POSITION SUMMARY The administrator shall assume the responsibility of answering phones, kronos editing, record keeping and compliance tracking for licensures, Dept communication, taking minutes and preparing for meetings, report maintenance, contact for vendors, preparation for regulatory agencies, as well as other supportive clerical duties.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS Necessary: Phone experience, personable, compliant, flexible personality and strong Computer/word processing knowledge Suggested: Previous Administrative experience and previous Hospital experience

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Answer phones Kronos editing and tracking of FMLA and PTO days Sort, open and appropriately file all incoming mail. . Maintain Communication and Culture of Excellence Boards Prepare packets for the Utilization Review Committee and East Metro Care Coalition, and take minutes. Process office and kitchen supply orders, as well as Bus Tokens and Cab Vouchers for TMCA, Centennial, and Saddle Rock ED's. Ability to look up patients in Midas, Meditec, and HPFAssist with typing of Case Mgt contracts with Bayada, Spalding, or Walgreens Demonstrate ability to recognize priorities and deal with them correctly. Demonstrate flexibility in response to unexpected changes in workload, emergencies, staffing and scheduling changes including working over-time when needed. Maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance in compliance with the dress code Complete special projects as assigned by Directors or Team leads.At all times maintain a professional public image and attitude toward visitors, patients and co-workers, along with the Medical Staff. Shall be courteous, cooperative and use compassion and discretion with regard to patient's privacy. Performs corrective/protective actions regarding hazardous materials. Remain current in the policies and procedures regarding safety issues in the department Manages to communicate and handle diverse age variations.
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: None
B. Education: Secretarial courses or technical skills preferred.
C. Experience: Minimum of two years in a front desk, secretarial or customer service position.
D. Special Qualifications: Ability to manage multiple phone lines, knowledge of Microsoft Office, and other office equipment. Excellent phone, communication and customer service skills.
Degree of supervision required: Involves general guidance and direction by the Director and Employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
Populations and Ages of Patients Served: This position requires knowledge of growth and developmental needs of patients and families. Personnel in this position must recognize and respond to the behaviors of patients and families in each age category. The employee must be able to demonstrate the special skills required to care for patients and their families according to standards. (The skills and knowledge needed to provide such care may be gained through education, training or experience.)
