The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting with assessing, planning, and evaluating all Case Management functions in accordance with the philosophy and goals of Kimball Medical Center. Assumes responsibility for direct supervision of the Case Management Dept. under the direction of the Regional Director. Coordinates the care of patients across the continuum of care. Responsible for assisting utilization management, discharge planning, and optimizing patient outcomes within appropriate time frames, and for facilitating the proper use of resources. Assists in the coordination and development of the Case Management programs. Maintains compliance with regulatory standards within the scope of the Case Management program for the medical center. Management responsibilities include but not limited to:

Currently licensed Registered Nurse with A BS or BA from an accredited college or equivalent. Minimum of five years clinical experience; Minimum of three years experience in Case Management. Minimum of one year supervisory experience; Successful completion of all Orientation Programs; InterQual training required annually. For new hires, InterQual training is required within 30 days of hire date and annually thereafter; Must be able to type 30 WPM and demonstrate knowledge of computers, word processing, Excel, email fax, and telephone skills.
