Education: Graduate of professional school of nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years to five (5) years' experience in clinical healthcare setting with direct patient care responsibilities reflecting planning, coordination, delivery of needed services such as education, discharge planning and utilization management required. Med/Surg or Emergency Department RN experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of Inter Qual Acute Care Criteria preferred. Basic Computer skills, ability to multi task and strong inter- personal communication techniques highly desirable.
Licensure/Certification: Current licensure in Virginia as Registered Nurse required. Case Management Certification preferred.
Other: Strong oral and written communication skills as well as effective interpersonal skills. Must be effective at teaching individuals from all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. Must have ability to work without close supervision and demonstrate effective organizational abilities.
