Step into an instrumental role as a paraplanner/case manager in a fast-paced financial planning office with an independent financial advisory franchise of Ameriprise Financial.
The paraplanner/case manager will primarily assist financial advisor(s) and associate financial advisor(s) in the financial planning and client appointment workflow. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work activities.
This role provides client relationship support through managing, gathering and analyzing client data, helping prepare client deliverables and reports, completing transactions, paperwork and tracking tools, working with clients to resolve issues and other practice management tasks as needed.
Responsibilities and time allocation may change over time to meet the needs of the practice and can include other duties as assigned by the advisor.
Position Functions: 60% Financial Planning & Advice / Product Solutions
Operate in accordance to practice preferences while providing superior support to both the financial advisor(s) and the client.
Work closely with, and assist, the associate financial advisor(s) and advisor(s)
Responsible for financial planning data gathering
Responsible for preparing reports and deliverables for client interactions
Prepare client agendas and forms in alignment with practice preferences for all client meetings
Review and update client information as needed
Responsible for completing insurance proposals and re-projections
Owner of meeting follow-up process and business processing action items
Oversee future assets and business opportunities
Responsible for follow-up with home office on business related issues
Answer questions and provide readily available information to clients, if requested and as allowable, as it relates to servicing their accounts and financial plan
Responsible for documenting client contact/calls
Maintain client contact during the financial planning process
Manage and resolve client service problems
Conduct trade completion and transaction requests as directed by financial advisor and associate financial advisor
Attend and participate in client meetings
Maintain files and records in accordance with the records retention policy
Client contact for marketing events as applicable

College degree or higher (preferred but not required)

Possess federal and state licenses and registrations for securities, including:
Series 7, Series 66 or equivalent, and State life, accident and health insurance licenses
Be willing to work towards additional certifications and professional designations
