The Crisis Center for South Suburbia, an agency providing assistance for victims of domestic violence for 40 years, is looking to hire an experienced Rapid Rehousing Case Manager (RRH). This full-time (40 hours/week) position provides case management and supportive services to clients in the Rapid Re-Housing and Emergency Services programs to promote self-sufficiency, integration into the community, and permanency in housing using the Housing First model. The RRH Case Manager will use a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to the work with the primary focus of ending homelessness by assisting participants to obtain and maintain safe, permanent housing. The principal duties are performed both in the office and in the field.
Bachelor's degree in social work or related field required. 40-hour Domestic Violence training strongly preferred, and required within 30 days of employment. Previous case management experience with a housing focus preferred. Must demonstrate an empathic, non-judgmental, service oriented attitude in work with clients. Must understand the impact of trauma and trauma inform care. Demonstrate self-awareness, insight, and commitment to ongoing professional growth. Value and practice respectful, non-violent communication. Must demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills; must possess good organizational skills. A valid driver's license and liability insurance required. Position may require some variable evening or weekend hours.
