The Vice President, Integrative Care Management and Clinical Documentation will provide system-wide leadership to deliver on the vision of advancing a progressive and innovative integrated care management model among all Adventist Health facilities and services. The Vice President will be a strategic “hands-on” leader who will develop a culture of innovation and care transformation in the organization by developing plans, implementing programs and solutions, and tracking progress on specific initiatives. The Vice President will have responsibility for regionally based Care Management teams, the Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) program for the system, and the centralized Utilization Review teams. The Utilization Review and CDI departments function with seamless efficiency through a centralized operating model.
Bachelor's degree is required. Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or related field of study is also required.
Licensure or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of California is also required.
Knowledge and Work Experience
Minimum of eight years of progressive experience in a leadership position with operational, management, and financial responsibility at the system level. A strong understanding of program management, care management/continuum of care/managed care experience highly desirable.
Significant skills in interacting and presenting to senior leaders and physician groups. Possess strong influencing skills with the ability to lead teams across functional areas with physicians, clinical, and administrative leaders.
Experience working in a capitated population focusing on reducing readmissions, managing cost of care, and working with managed care contracts to provide appropriate levels of care.
Someone who is a proven strategic leader that is highly visible and able to put processes in place that attain results and set forth a progressive integrated care management model.
