We are looking for an expert in case writing to direct our case center and helps us make it the best of the MENA region. We have access to top organizations and the resources to achieve our ambitions.
The successful applicant is expected to write cases on an ongoing basis in collaboration with Faculty in Doha and in Paris. As well, the candidate will lead the process of building a top-quality repository of case studies with a focus on Qatar and the GCC. After gaining an in-depth understanding of our programs, the candidate will drive the strategy for publishing and marketing of cases, strategic collaborations, quality control, training of future case writers and jointly enhancing the innovative use of cases (e.g., via interactive, web-based versions).
The candidate profile
In order to further grow the number of local case studies used in our custom, open and degree programs, we are looking for an experienced case writer who loves language and makes words swoon in return. The ideal candidate has compiled a number of innovative case studies including teaching notes and successfully submitted them to international case clearing houses, case competitions or case journals. The ability to write impeccable prose is obviously a plus, as is a love for literature in general as we believe that reading is a necessary first step to produce captivating narratives.
He or she is able to work effectively with a variety of faculty members, sometimes independently. S/he can support or lead parts or entire case writing projects from negotiating access to companies, conducting interviews, write case drafts together with faculty members, finalize and edit drafts, and work towards case releases. Experience in editing of case books is a plus. The applicant has earned a Ph.D. or an MBA (from one of the world best Universities) and can write cases in different business disciplines. The language of work and case publishing is English, so we expect the person to have extraordinary writing skills and be capable of expressing her or his ideas with elegance and in a concise way.
