COVID-19 Non-Clinical Case Manager (Pool for 2020-21)

Job Description: This is a non-clinical Case Manager position responsible for providing support services to students on all OHIO campuses. Duties include conducting a triage assessment creating cases through a database system (Maxient), managing crisis interventions, attending to after-hours emergencies, and working alongside university partners, parents, public health officials with students, faculty, and staff who need short- or long-term accommodations to allow for ongoing support, campus and community referral, and coordination of support services within and outside campus. This position also includes providing consultation with faculty, staff, parents, human resources and others and engaging in outreach efforts. Primary Accountabilities: 1.Coordinate non-clinical care for students and employees who need short- or long-term or accommodations to allow for ongoing support, campus and community referral, and coordination of care within and outside campus. These include check ins; facilitating isolation and quarantine needs of these students and faculty, following up with students who are referred to this office; referring to clinical case management services through OhioHealth, coordinating support services with family members as necessary and appropriate (students only); helping with academic accommodations, basic needs (housing, food, travel) and other social service applications as necessary . Conduct Drop-in and Triage consultation as assigned. Participate in after-hours crisis response 2.Other duties as assigned by Public Health Officer and/or Director of COVID-19 Case Management. Decisions may involve working with university administrators, OUPD and local public health officials and hospitals to assure student, employee and community safety. Decisions may involve the health and safety of students. Minimum Qualifications: At least a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Student Affairs, or other human relations field. At least one (1) year of related work experience. Ability to work with internal and external constituencies, academic partners, university officials, parents, faculty and staff of Ohio University. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Student Affairs, or other human relations field At least 2 years of non-clinical case management is preferred.
