We are currently seeking a Case Manager (Behavioral Health Consultant) to assist with a Federally-funded project related to opioid use disorder treatment. This position will recruit and engage community providers/prescribers to expand access to MAT for patients with opioid use disorders.
Responsible for provider outreach and enrollment for counties in Michigan including cold calls, office visits and presentations for providers who are waivered or who are willing to become waivered to provide Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT) such as buprenorphine and naltrexone. This position will also provide Technical Assistance and support with the assistance of the project team to help providers begin providing MAT at their clinic. Responsible for timely data entry in provider database.
The Case Manager/BHC also identifies and maintains community resource database and will provide referral information to providers for patients in need of resources such as housing, food, or other assistance. This position will also be available to connect providers to the MOC addiction specialists for patient consultations as needed during business hours. Responsible for completing other tasks as assigned within project plan.
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a similar discipline, with evidence of clinical experience and knowledge of substance abuse treatment including Medication for Addiction Treatment. Excellent organizational skills, professionalism, attention to detail, ability to work independently but also within a team, personable, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines are all a must.
3-5 years experience in substance abuse treatment including experience with MAT.

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
