What you will do in this role:
You will perform assigned tasks and clerical activities.
You will assist floor case managers with discharge planning activities such as:
coordinating transportation assistance for patients leaving the hospital
assisting with preparing paperwork and making referral phone calls for psychiatric placement
copying, filing, faxing
What qualifications you will need:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2 years’ experience working in a customer service environment.
Health care experience preferred. Must be comfortable working in a hospital environment and with ill patients
Ability to work within a team environment
Good communication skills especially exhibited with patient/family, co-workers and vendors.
Ability to interact with physicians
Discretion and confidentiality in word and action
Commitment to high quality workmanship
Demonstrates willingness to learn new skills and accept new responsibilities with enthusiasm
