Position Overview

The Special Education Case Manager & Test Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting students’ academic and behavioral success while ensuring compliance with individualized education plans (IEPs) and standardized testing requirements. This position requires strong organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for working with neurodiverse learners in a supportive, team-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

Case Management

• Oversee and manage assigned student case load and IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to develop and implement effective accommodations and support strategies.
• Monitor student progress, document services, and lead IEP meetings as needed.

Testing Coordination

• Serve as the school’s primary test coordinator for statewide and internal assessments.
• Schedule, organize, and administer testing accommodations for eligible students.
• Ensure all test materials, data, and reports are handled with accuracy and confidentiality.

Behavioral Support

• Support the implementation of positive behavior intervention plans (PBIPs).
• Collaborate with staff to address behavioral challenges and model best practices in classroom management.
• Track behavior data and assist in staff training for proactive behavioral strategies.
• Meet with students and address behaviors as needed during school hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field required (Master’s preferred).
• Valid Indiana teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
• Experience with IEP development and compliance documentation.
• Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and neurodiverse learning profiles.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Behavior management experience.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, student-centered environment
